Nine Lessons & Carols12/11/2013 0 Comments Our traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held at St Mary's on Sunday 15th December at 6pm. Come along and hear the Christmas story retold in word and song. Led by the choir, with plenty of congregational carols to join in, this special candlelit service marks the beginning for many of their Christmas celebrations.

For the next week, we have a display in St Mary's of creative writing by the Year 5 pupils of Riverside Primary School.
The children visited the church a couple of weeks ago, meeting with a creative writer linked to the Shandy Hall Church Writing Project. Whilst there they explored some of the church & churchyard to find inspiration for their work. The church is open each day betwen 10am and 3pm if you would like to read some of the work.
